Hotels in Hong Kong

First when choosing a hotel in Hong Kong one must decide the location. If you want the famous views of the harbour and the island as seen in so many magazines around the world then you need to stay on the mainland. There are only a few hotels which offer the best views of this spectacle and we have listed most of them below. Alternatively if you stay on Hong Kong Island then you can still enjoy views of the harbour from some hotels just not the famous back drop of the peak. Choosing between the two, island or mainland can be tough as the transportation infrastructure is excellent but some people do prefer the nightlife the island offers, and if that appeals to you then it may be best to opt for an hotel on Hong Kong island. If an airport hotel is what you need then there are only two choices but we recommend the Novotel Citygate which opened in April 2006 and is just 5 minutes from Hong Kong International Airport..

Hot tip! If a view from your chosen hotel in in Hong Kong is important to you then make sure you ask the hotel exactly what you are getting. Most are very honest but we have seen one or two calling rooms harbour view rooms when you can hardly see the harbour at all!! If in doubt ask.
